GOD IS AWESOME!
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble, Therefore we will not fear...” (Psalm 45:1)
“Wow! God is awesome!” Every spring these words come to mind as the flowers bloom and the birds begin to chirp. It’s like nature has awakened from its winter sleep. Just look outside and realize all of the things God takes care of. He makes sure all of His creatures have food, and not only does He take care of their needs, He makes them beautiful. Look at the butterflies or the Blue-Jays. Do you realize how dull life would be if God hadn’t decided to make things colorful? He really did think of everything when He created our world.
What about us? Does God take care of us? We’re the ones made in His image. If He will take care of His animals, why do we so often worry if He takes care of His animals, why do we so often worry if He will take care of us? People are the most worrisome of God’s creatures. We worry about everything from what we’re going to wear, to where we are going to eat tonight. We don’t stop to realize that worrying gets us nowhere. God takes care of everything—even His worrisome people. He tells us in Luke 12:25, “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” Jesus also tells us, “Consider the ravens...God feeds them, and how much more valuable are you than birds.” So this spring, when your mind begins to worry, look outside and take comfort that God will take care of you.
