“But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.” (Luke 11:20 NKJV)
The Kingdom of God is the Kingdom which Christ has founded, and to which all who believe in Him belong—the second petition of the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy Kingdom come.” Christians are so deeply convinced of the world’s need of the Kingdom, that they not only pray the words but toil tirelessly that all who will listen may have the chance to believe in Jesus Christ and become a part of the body of Christ.
The one great power in the world always lifting humanity upward is the power of God. God accomplishes His healing, restoring, transforming miracles when His people give their lives to Him, to be used for His gracious, redeeming purposes.
When you know the marvelous works that have been wrought among men wherever Christ and His church have come, then you should be overwhelmed by the divine truth expressed by Jesus, “...surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.”
