CHILDREN

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” (Ephesians 6:1 NKJV)

God in His plan gave each child parents. In His plan of creation, God knew that children would need the daily guidance of someone, so He gave everyone parents, who are to love their children as they love Jesus Christ.

If parents love the Lord, then they will want only the best for their children and they will be willing to sacrifice anything and everything for them. Fathers and mothers are far wiser than their children, for they have lived on this earth longer and have grown up from being little children. Can you as a parent remember when you were little? Remember how it felt to be a child? By remembering you can be a better parent, because you will have greater understanding.

Parents occasionally forbid their children to do some things, urging them to do something else, because they love their children and always what is best for them.

Parents should always be trying to help their children be the best possible boys and girls, hopefully by taking them to Sunday school and church regularly, so they can learn to be like Jesus Christ.

Thank God for the gift of loving parents; for parents who stay together for the sake of their children; who sacrifice for their children. Pray that God will help teach parents to be wise enough to know that it is their God-given duty to love their children and it is the God-given duty of children to be obedient to their parents and God.
